Section 411, the State Highway Data Improvement Incentive grant program was authorized under the Transportation Efficiency Act of the 21st Century (TEA-21). The program is administered by NHTSA at the federal level and by the Law Enforcement and Traffic Safety Division of ADECA in Alabama. The purpose of this program is to improve the State of Alabama’s data collection as it relates to traffic citations, driver history, statewide traffic analysis, court adjudication, emergency medical services and criminal history.
Objective:
To conduct research and develop a system for statewide use that will allow for the collection of data as it relates to driver licensing, driver history, traffic citations and adjudication, traffic crashes, criminal history, injuries and fatalities, into one unified system.
