ADECA's Surplus Property Division is responsible for the sale of all property declared excess by state agencies who participate in the Surplus Property Program. It is also responsible for the transfer of all federal surplus property allocated to the state from both military bases and federal agencies.
At any given time, this division has approximately $50,000,000 in inventory on hand. This program saves the Alabama taxpayer millions of dollars annually by selling this property for a fraction of its value to public entities and eligible nonprofit organizations.

After a period of time, property can be sold to the general public. The "Public Sales" page has more information on our auctions, including terms and conditions.
This division has two warehouses - one located in Montgomery and one in Eva. The hours of operation for both warehouses is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fire Tower – ($100.00 each Service Charge) – This Fire Tower is available to Donees ONLY through the Alabama Forestry Commission at the Pike County Office. The tower is located near 4130 Co Rd 5531 in Troy, AL. Call Reid Dickey at 334-566-3436 to schedule an inspection of the tower. The Donee service charge is listed above but you can call Jamey Hollingsworth at Surplus Property for additional information (08/18/2016).
